WHISKEY OF THE WEEK – No.3 Green Spot

Our third whiskey of the week is Green Spot – No.4 on our tasting tour and another beautiful Irish dram. See our new guide James give you his years of whiskey knowledge in just over a minute.

Green Spot is 100% Pot still whiskey containing a mix of malted and unmalted (green) barley. Originally labelled Pat’s whiskey, it was renamed after the practise of daubing paint on the ageing barrels in the cellars of Mitchell & Sons. Distilled originally by Jameson & Sons – of Bow Lane, it is now matured in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks at Midleton in Co.Cork.
