Dublin Whiskey Festival: Irish Whiskey Reinvented

As part of the Dublin Whiskey Festival, Dublin Whiskey Tours, Irish Whiskey Magazine and The Rag Trader will hold a special evening of tasting and food sampling entitled ‘Irish Whiskey Reinvented’ on August 15th, 2017.

We will be tasting six delicious drams with some mouth-watering Irish food too. There will be a special blind tasting, two cocktails from Prizefight and Slane, and a Teeling Irish Coffee to send you home happy. All this will be after you have enjoyed some whiskey-inspired music and garnered some great knowledge from our guests speakers.

Dublin Whiskey Tours - Liberties Distillery

Owners Of Dublin Liberties And The Dubliner Irish Whiskey Brands Sell 25% Stake In Business

Quintessential Brands, owners of the company behind Dublin Liberties and the Dubliner Irish Whiskey, has sold a 25% stake in the business to the Eastern European drinks firm Stock Spirits. The Group will invest up to €18 million in the company that owns the distillery and their brands.

Stock Spirits produces vodka, and brandy, along with a range of other drinks. Its main markets are in the Czech Republic, Poland and Italy.

 

 


Dublin Whiskey Tours - Lambay Island Whiskey

Watch Out For Lambay Island Whiskey Later This Year

A new brand Lambay Irish whiskey will launch at TFWA World Exhibition in October, guests at the pre-launch event on the island heard on Tuesday.  The House of Camus has partnered up with the Baring family-owned Revelstoke Trust to produce this new premium Lambay Irish whiskey.

The triple-distilled liquid is being developed in both a small batch blend and a single malt, then matured and finished in Cognac casks. The Lambay Island Whiskey Company will manage the portfolio.

Jameson Family Apartment Goes On The Market

An apartment at the Sutton House, the former home of the Jameson empire, has just come on the market. The property was built as the Dublin holiday home of the Jameson family.  The 1,880 square foot apartment, The Jameson, is located on the first floor and has three bedrooms. It also includes the drawing room of the original house. The new owners will have access to the gardens and grounds.

The Jameson apartment is being sold through Gallagher Quigley with an asking price of €895,000.
